Balgownie Estate Chardonnay (Bendigo) 750mL
Balgownie Estate Chardonnay 750mL
Chardonnay was planted in our vineyards in Bendigo in 1976 and has been produced consistently since the initial release in 1979. The continental climate is instrumental in producing fruit that has a wonderful balance between acidity, ripeness and flavour. Grown using sustainable vineyard practices and fermented partially with wild yeast and partially with cultured yeast before spending 11 months on lees. The wine was matured in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels.

A sensational, medium-bodied wine with lovely ripe white peach character, hints of honey, cream, nougat and a touch of toasty oak.
The palate is lovely and complex with flavours of white peach, honey, melon and cream balanced by crisp acid and gentle oak.
